Local Ties: Scooch A Mi Boutique had its ribbon cutting in Chatham in October of 2017. I was thrilled to have Len Resto, a Councilman at that time do the honors of formally welcoming Scooch into the Chatham Community. I live in Harding but have spent much time in Chatham with my two daughters at the orthodontist office, dance classes, and enjoying the restaurants here. I am a Jersey Girl through and through having grown up in Fort Lee and then moving to Morris County.

Social causes: Our opening was dedicated to supporting Mallory's Army to wipe out bullying. Since then Scooch has supported Halos for Angels, Inc., Florham Park, held two February Shoe Drives for Soles4Souls, supported the Chatham Education Foundation, St. Patrick's School, Juniors Fore Goryeb, Morristown Medical Center, Family Promise of Morris County, Pantry Food and Interfaith Resource Center, Morris County. I became a Chatham Rotarian and serve on the MyChathamNJ Advisory Committee.

Quirky stat: I physically helped build a house in Honduras.    My comfortable position while standing is dropping my shoe and leaning my foot on my knee. I look like an ostrich!

Best moment as a business owner: There have been a few: one young girl told me how the inspiration bracelets she got at Scooch helped her through her formalized school tests. I melted! When that young man came in and purchased his first gift for his first girlfriend. Just wow! Connecting with people, putting a smile on customers's faces, and enjoying some laughs while they are here.

Best advice ever received: Be yourself.  Let who you are shine. You are your brand.  and…Finish what you are doing.

Favorite activity in New Jersey: Love the jersey shore and Italian restaurants!
